Had Enough Yet?
I’m tired of politics as usual, aren’t you? Both Parties attack each other all the time, and over what? Often times it’s over things you don’t even care about. And if it is something you care about, they’re not trying to solve it – they just want to score political points. Our state and our nation is in the midst of some very difficult times, and we need people who actually want to fix the problems – not point fingers all the while accomplishing nothing.

How do you like being ignored by Olympia? You want them to set spending limits (I-601): Are they doing that? You vote down Safeco Stadium and they do it anyway. You vote down a gas tax and we get it anyway. You voted for smaller class sizes and they completely ignored it. How many times has $30 License Tabs passed? Do you have $30 License Tabs?

Olympia has grown accustomed to calling its own shots. “Shut up and pay your taxes!” is their message to you. Those in Olympia are supposed to serve us, not the other way around. The voters need to remind them of this.

Join me in restoring honesty and integrity to politics. I can hear you laughing now. “Sure,” you’re saying, “An honest politician – yeah, and I have a bridge in Brooklyn I’d like to sell you!” Actually, I’m not running to be a politician – I’m running to be your Representative. “We the People” should not put up with dishonest people holding public office. We should demand the people we vote for to be people of character who will do the right thing even when no one’s looking, and those who are crooked should be held accountable.

If you want a regular person and not a politician who is a part of the Olympia Establishment representing you, someone who will treat you with respect and not ignore the will of the voters repeatedly, please tell your friends and neighbors about me. I’ll need your help and theirs.

I respectfully ask for your vote in November of 2010, and I will work hard to represent you and uphold the Constitution.

Very sincerely,

Heidi Munson

I am running for the State Legislature in the same spirit of what our Founders desired:  citizen legislators.  I am a regular person who is very disturbed at the path our state and nation has been traveling down and has decided to do something about it.  Politicians now act as if they are royalty and we are their serfs. <Read More>
